More Information
The Green Space Initiative (GSI) is a program geared toward schools and businesses. The goal of GSI is to encourage the use of low emission vehicles that are better for the environment. We do this by covering the costs of parking spaces, and offering preferred locations. Every high school involved with the Green Space Initiative will have a school representative. This representative will get permission for the spaces; find local sponsors to fund the spaces, as well as manage whom parks in the spots. This is the same procedure for businesses. Hopefully this initiative will spread to numerous high schools inSoutheastern Wisconsin and even expand to different states.
The Green Space Initiative was started at Brookfield Central High School, Wisconsin by Clayton Hollowell. Schools that are currently participating in the Green Space Initiative are Brookfield Central High School, Brookfield East High School, Brookfield Academy, and Marquette University High School. To become a school representative at your school contact Clayton Hollowell to pick up the necessary information at clayton@greenspaceinitiative.com
